 After years of playing 70's and 80's metal, one can't help but become influenced by it. My personal influences, and who I deem are the masters, are bands such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Blue Oyster Cult. The lyrics I write certainly reflect this, as I often incorporate some of their verses into my own songs. In doing this, I feel I pay tribute to them and other bands I have not mentioned by but who had an equally effective impact on my style as a lyricist. I feel that it is now time to revive some of the sights and sounds of that era, as we, El Diablo Ninos, create music in that same genre. I spent five years prior to joining El Diablo Ninos playing with a Black Sabbath tribute band called The Void; and just as the members of that band used crosses to ward any evil, I use my vines to bind the evil spirits and keep the key safe.
